Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS) is an integrated bill payment system in India that offers interoperable and accessible bill payment service to customers through a network of agents, enabling multiple payment modes, and providing instant confirmation of payment. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) functions as the authorized Bharat Bill Payment Central Unit (BBPCU). It is responsible for setting business standards, rules and procedures for technical and business requirements for all the participants. It provides uniform platform across all platform to customer while meeting necessary requirement of biller to fetch the bill and make payment.
In order to facilitate a comprehensive bill payments platform, Bank has integrated with M/s. IndiaIdeas.com Ltd. (BillDesk) for providing BBPS and Non-BBPS bill payment platform. The platform offers functionality of biller’s registration & recurring payments while facilitating wide range of utility & bill payments in the various categories
The functionality has been introduced in our Mobile Banking application “OBC Mpay” and the same is available on the dashboard post login under the name of BBPS.
The category of billers eligible to participate in Bharat BillPay will be specified from time to time by Reserve bank of India (RBI). The current categories specified are as follows:
Without logging in, User can find biller and pay bill using Net Banking, Credit or Debit Card.
In that case, please find alternative option in quick pay under payments or bill pay after logging in.
Yes. If it is allowed by your biller.
If the complaint is regarding a particular transaction: transaction failure, refund etc.
If complaint is regarding agent/collection point, biller, bank etc.
If you are paying online please contact bank, incase of offline please contact your payment counter or branch.
